A tour in the naturalistic reserve of Montenuovo, the youngest volcano in Europe, up to the mythological Averno Lake. A unique walk where it is possible to observe the remaining volcanic activity of the Phlegraean hill, joined with the uniqueness of the vegetation in the place. The Descent to Hell, the path that from the crater’s edge goes down to the Averno Lake, is stunning and breathtaking. Around the body of water, well-known to Virgil and Dante that chose this place as the Door of the Kingdom of Hell, is possible to photograph coots, loons and ducks, not to mention the Apollo Temple, that dominates the volcanic lake.
